Offering a Ride

I have lost my phone and have an upcomming ride. What do I do?

If you have lost your phone and have an upcoming scheduled ride, please proceed as if you have your phone. If possible contact support and let them know about the situation. They may be able to provide assistance to you and the other party.

A passenger has left something in my car. What do I do?

If you have noticed something was left in your car by a passenger, please send an e-mail to our support services. Include as much information as possible about the item and your current situation to help us better assist the situation.

Can I answer my phone while driving?

While driving, according to the laws in Canada, you are prohibited from using a hand-held cell phone while driving. Drivers are responsible for obeying all laws and regulations regarding the use of cell phones while driving. We suggest that our users use a Bluetooth or handsfree device while driving.

Passenger did not show up to the pickup location.

We ask our drivers to wait at the pickup location for a minimum of 5 minutes after the scheduled pickup time. This gives the passenger a few extra minutes to arrive to the pickup location. Please also try calling the passenger again before leaving the pickup location and canceling the ride. Also send support a messege letting them know about the situation.

I can't find my passenger.

The third-party map application blancride uses may be relaying your location slightly incorrectly. If you can´t find your passenger, try using the call option to get in contact with them and let them know where you are waiting.

Who can register as a blancride driver?

Anyone over the age of 18, owns a car, has a valid full G class driver’s license and insurance can become a blancride driver. A bank account is also required to complete the driver registration process.

How can I register to be a driver?

You can register to be a driver only after you have created an account. Proceed to the “MY ACCOUNT” section and press “DRIVER PROFILE”. Enter your car information in the “CAR” tab, driver information in the “DRIVER” tab, and bank information in the “FINANCIAL” tab. Upon completion, your account must be verified by our staff at blancride. Once the process is complete you will be able to use the driver mode and accept passengers using the blancride application.
